James Camerons nächste Regiearbeit ist der Science-Fiction-Film "Battle Angel", den er für Fox inszenieren wird. Es ist das erste Spielfilmprojekt seit seinem epochalen "Titanic". "Battle Angel" ist als Big-Budget-Adaption einer zwölfteiligen Manga-Reihe angelegt, die im 26. Jahrhundert angesiedelt ist, und sich um die Abenteuer eines 14-jährigen weiblichen Cyborgs namens Alita dreht. Die Dreharbeiten des Films, der mit neuartigen, von Cameron mitentwickelten digitalen Techniken aufwarten wird - darunter eine fotoreale Version der "Performance-Capture"-Technologie, die Robert Zemeckis für "Der Polarexpress " benutzte - sollen im Februar starten, geplanter Releasetermin ist der Sommer 2007. Unmittelbar danach will Cameron einen weiteren Stoff inszenieren, der den Titel "Project 880" trägt und 2009 das Licht der Welt erblicken soll.

Der Film soll uns also etwa 2016 beehren.

Natürlich wird da wieder BLAU die vorherrschende Farbe sein, wie in fast jedem Cameron-Streifen, schätze ich.
