Error 60 means simply that the 6-CD Tray is not seated correctly. It is caught in an in-correct position when inserted.
What is causing this may simply be a defective Tray; I have seen it happen.
More likely it is the mechanism being out of alignment. This may happen due to several causes. The 4 rubber bearings/shock-absorbers that holds the mechanism-unit and shields it from vibrations may be deformed over time. The rubber hardens and looses its shape.
This may be enough off-set to catch the tray being loaded in an in-correct lock.
The 4 shock-absorbers are called 'Dampers' and are Pioneer partno.: CNV4501
Of course the problem may be caused by a defective loading-motor (Tray-Motor CXA9139) or the elevation-motor (CXA9146) or just wear & tear. The unit is close to 15 years old after all.
If you need to re-align the entire mechanism I suggest to get in touch with someone who knows a lot about mechanics & electronics. This re-alignment is a very complicated process !
