Hi All,
I was wondering if anywone knew where to get a demo for the HSU brand subwoofers?
I have read several really good reviews over the web and I was wondering if anyone in India is selling them.
I am going to use it as a bass extender for my music and as a general subwoofer for my HT setup.

I do not think they are sold through anyone in India. They are an internet-direct company. Why don’t you try importing them directly ? While you are at it, check out SVS, Adire Audio and VMPS also.

Btw: PMC (professional monitoring company) who works closely with Bryston has a musical subwoofer which you can crossover pretty high. Ideal for music.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of directly importing any hifi equipment, what are the procedures for customs duty, shipping etc?
what about the other companies that you mention, are they available in india or are they to be considered only if I was considering importing the sub.
The PMC TLE1 sub seems really interesting, any idea how much it will cost?

I do not have any experience importing any stuff. Perhaps you could check with others on the forum.
All these except the VMPS and PMC are internet direct companies. I have some friends in the US who are using SVS and HSU subs and they are quite excited and happy with them. I have heard only good things about the TLE1 and the VMPS subs. I guess you could check out the TLE-1 with any Bryston/Pmc dealer in India. No clue about the cost. I suggested these as better options to subs from main-stream loudspeaker makers like polk, jamo, wharfedale etc….
