Perfectly illustrates the "Emperor's New Clothes"
sort of hype that pervades much of the HiFi domain..

how about the 2.4 crores for the Chrysler Maybach.. or USD1 million for a svarowsky studded Cadillac (that too pink ) !!!!
also the gold foil plated Paan and the Chocolates that you get in delhi for diwali

pricing is another way of differentiation and definitely not just in audio and as long as there are people willing to pay for it , why blame the manufacturer they are just catering to a segment who are really asking for it

I am not blaming the manufacturers at all……..they are the wise wolves clad in sheepskin.

I agree the Chrysler Maybach for 2.4 crore is a rip-off. Wise guys who know automobiles will probably go for a Brabus-tuned Merc / maybach for that kind of money. At least you know that you are getting fantastic performance enhancement over the stock vehicle which is a wise investment for those who have that kind of money and interest………

1. XLO s demo cd

Higher dynamic range and extra energy at audio frequency extremes, so that the tweeter and woofer works more than that with normal music. The same effect can be had by playing some indian poop music:)

Pink noise!!

yeah and i am sure it would be so melodious to listen during the breakin process
i think pink noice does not really cover the lower and higher registers..

heavy metal is perhaps the best to play it but then you must either be a metal fan OR you prefer not being in the same area during the breakin process !!

I think its not so unresonalble..but i would go for the Buggati veyron for pure performance..
just need to find the 900,000 quids now...
cause u know, VW spends 5milliions to build one of these...so it is in fact a 'steal'

Talk of bentleys without chrome lips on the grill and of course flying lady is pure Rolls Royce.....

All these are waste of time for me.. Please a Chrysler Viper Venom for me...ohh without power steering ofcourse and 8.5 litre V10...sounds close to my Klipsch
