Hello Jochen ! Any idea what the speaker is priced @ ? Are all the finishes having the same price ? Can we expect 1 of the 39 pairs to me in India ? Actually 2 of the owners are indian, hence 2 pairs should be here - ideally speaking; Chhabria & Shirke !!! http://www.hifi-foru...tech/pantheon_2.html [Beitrag von bhagwan69 am 24. While Mr Shirke's involvement in and Bank rolling of the Siltech products is known... I was surprised to hear Finolex's name in the same breadth... We we going to see Esoteric Cables from Finolex ? Anyone has a clue / speculation on the reason for Finolex's involvement ? |

Mr. Chhabria was involved from day 1. He was there in Pune @ the party when Cadence & Finolex had purchased controlling stake in Siltech. About 2 years back [actually about 18 months or so back]. Actually Finolex has the knowledge & idea of how to draw and make cables. If Finolex owns Siltech, then the technology can be transferred to Finolex & it could do OE for Siltech. Cost cutting etc. This is my intepretation & pure speculation. I do not have any news or confirmation on the same from Cadence or Siltech or Finolex in any manner. |

A surprise was found in one of the last rooms we visited - the presence of Siltech. Very soon after the festive presentation of their first-ever Pantheon 25 loudspeaker, Siltech now presented the somewhat smaller Pantheon XX. The speaker on demo was still a beta version but nonetheless bloomed in the large room. The biggest difference to the Pantheon 25 is the Raal ribbon tweeter replacing the Cadence electrostatic tweeter. Housed in a similarly shaped baffle with foam deflectors on top and bottom of the ribbon, the tweeter remains adjustable for fine-tuning the sweet spot via tilt. http://www.6moons.com/industryfeatures/brussels07/brussels.html |

Interesting link-Tks Bhagwan. Get a load of the Triangle monster-almost the size of a minibus! What're they trying to ahieve? With their only contribution to the Pantheon out of this model, I wonder what Cadence is doing to establish their presence on the world Hi End stage... |

Cadence is not trying to establish any thing; Just wants to keep buying out international audio companies. They [Cadence] just picked up Spendor - 3 months back. Some more seem to be on the cards. |

Hi SNV ! I am not sure, but it seems that it is both !!!! Cadence will distribute Spendor in India. Spendor is also 'owned' by Cadence. This is what I think I understood. However, I am not so sure. clrmumbai@gmail.com This is the e-mail address of the Mumbai Audio Demo Room. Cadence & Spendor i.e. Maybe you could get your questions answered there. The Demo room is operational, but will open officially next week - some time. Happy Auditioning !!! |

Me thinks Cadence shld concentrate on their core competency, viz, building/improving their speaker lineup & also their tube amps; there are any number of competent record cleaning machines available for import-a very, very limited market in any case. The Speaker is in India; Has been for 2 weeks now. Have not had the chance for an audition. I do hope to get that chance to listen to it. Some of the front end electronics seem to have changed. CD Player will be Teac P3 & D3. Pre Amplifier will be Audio Research Reference Pre Phono Stage will be Reference Phone [Audio Research] Cables are all G-6 with SATT [Power Cords upgraded] Power Conditioning is from PS Audio. If any forum member does get that chance for an audition, please do share your experiances with us. It shall be appreciated. |

Yes Sir; SME 30 it is. The Cartridge is Clearaudio Insider [purchased direct - not from SS]. This has not changed. The PS was to be Asthetix but for a reason I do not know, it was replaced with the AR Phono Reference. I had suggested the AR CD 7 too, but P3 & D3 was the preferred option. It shouuld be a nice set up. I look forward to listening to it - soon - i.e. The CD Player is not in as yet; Back ordered 3 months [so I was told 1 month back]. |

Yes; I have had the chance to listen to that particular CD Player & Pre & Power Amp a few times. This picture is of a listen from May, 2007. in Munich. It was with the Marten Design 'Bird' & Jorma Cables. This particualr CD Player was to be phased out. I am not sure, but so I was told. A replacement was ready for launch. Maybe it will come out in Jan 2008 @ CES. Will write about it in a while. Congrats Goolimangala !!! |

Yes that's true, for the moment they have stopped producing the last record player 'cause they want to concentrate on their new CDP which will be officially launched on the CES. It must be an awesome player. I read already a review in a German magazine. Sad thing, it will be twice as expensive as the last record player. Still Einstein is cooking more: in Munich they want to launch the mono version of the light in the dark. And then they are working on their own turntable made of a hightech material which has never been used so far in audio applications. But sorry I can not talk about further details. Also, when I visited Einstein's showroom last year I saw the prototype of a power conditioner. So these guys are quite busy in the moment also with their new distributorship of NuForce, Marten and Jorma. Regards, Jochen |

2 woofers - 16" each - per side - disappear; This is 'hoodini sytle' !! It has to be experianced. Cadence Dealer in Banlarole & Mumbai along with our 'moderator' must take the initiative to take our forum members to Pune for 1 day. We should make it a 2 day - 1 night trip to Pune. It opened in November, 2007. Fort; Opposite Central Library. Botawala Building, 4th floor. But, no Pantheon 25 is there. All low fi and mid fi Spendor + Cadence gear with Marantz is on demo there. The 'real' thing is in Pune. That is where one has to go !! 3 pairs of the Pantheon 25 have been reserved for India. The 'prototype' will be sold - up to spec @ 'competative' prices. Any serious 'audiophile' that happens to have the 'space' may want to consider !! All said, at least go and hear it. The only cost is the fuel & stay [in Pune] + meals. It is close by & will be worth the effort. |

It is not about a 'report' It is about an experiance - it has to be had. 300 K US $ + worth of gear - well set up - in a good room. That too in India - Pune - difficult to believe. It is a 'free' chance. A must listen for all Indian want to be 'audiophiles' !!! Mr. AS's room has never sounded so good in the past 10 + years I have gone there. I must have visited 20 + times if not more. I request all to go and listen. Manek - Please do take the iniciative & fix it up. It will be worth it !! Trust me.... |

Every Siltech Pantheon is hand-built and finished to exacting standards by the finest technicians and craftspeople. It is this extreme attention to detail that distinguishes the Siltech Pantheon even among statement efforts. In our state-of-the-art clean room, highly trained craftspeople spray the enclosure panels with successive layers of Akzo-Nobel primer followed by two layers of high-gloss base coat and five layers of high-gloss transparent coat. Between each layer application, the structure dries at room temperature for 5-7 days. “‘We check each newly painted dry surface by spraying on a thin contrasting test layer. This shows off the smallest of imperfections during polishing” explains Wim, Siltech’s master cabinet maker. Enclosure For our enclosures, Comsol™ optimized angled and dome-shaped multi-layer panels for minimal refraction (Siltech patent-pending) insure flat acoustical impedance to greatly improve driver performance. The twin-cabinet architecture guarantees perfect mechanical isolation and the constrained-layer composite panels add high damping and stiffness to transform each Pantheon into a Comsol-engineered energy-neutral cabinet (Siltech™ patent-pending ENC system) Transducers • 2 x 16-inch precision low-Q woofers • 1 x 7-inch ultra-fast, Comsol-optimized low-Q midrange with patent-pending decoupled motor • 1 x 19 inch ultra-fast electrostatic high-frequency driver with long-life self-powered power supply All drivers can withstand very high input power without distortion. The tweeter array includes a 0-15° (+75° to +90° ISO) vertical tilt adjustment to optimize the sound balance for your preferred listening position. Crossover The substantial crossover is optimized for minimum parts density despite its 4th-order architecture. All coils are patented supersonic air-core inductors weighing up to 5 pounds each. Went to Pune yesterday - 'switch it on' was with me; We spend a few minutes - tea / coffee time in a 'new' listening room @ Cadence - Spendor + Helios + va1 + Siltech Cable + Crystal Cable. Pleasent set up. Then we proceeded on to the 'main listening room' This was a 'good experiance' The set up was - perfect - lot of effort had gone into making the Siltech Pantheon sound 'up to the mark' The entire 'chain' was 'right up there' with some of the best in Hi - Fi Audio that money can buy. This sure was an all out assault - no holes barred - attempt to recreat music !!! A job rather well done. This could easily be the 'best audio set up' I have personally auditioned in India for sure. I have already enlisted the equipment that was being used in my earlier post - so I shall not get into it again. Just 1 change the phone cable was changed from a vdH to Siltech G7 [brand new line just to be launched]. This was a 400/- K US $ set up [on a conservative basis] ! |

switch-it-on could you please post your impressions too ? I know that neutrality is your Top Priority, so maybe your perspective will be different ? Also, a question to Both: Bhagwan & S-I-O What did yiou think of the ARC Ref-3 ? I understand that its difficult ( probably impossible) to atribute characteristics to one particular component in a totally unknown system, ( even thought its an approx Rs 2 Crore System ! ).... Was it different from the traditional LUSH ARC house sound ? If the Ref-3 a true new Ref that most reviewers make it out to be ? Also, from the physical position of the Ref-3, wasn't the left power amp blocking the path to the REF-3 for the remote control ? |
