Speaker Help

I've just got my next installment of my student loan, so rather than saving it or spending it on something usefull like food I've decided to upgrade my system. I have a NAD C320 amp which I'm happy with, but due to running out of money last year I ended up with a pair of goodmans speakers.
I've grown up around B&W speakers but I am willing to make a change, but having looked on this forum it seems that a lot of you are fans of B&W. The main question I really want answering is this.
Are the 603.s3 much better than the 603.s2, as the price diffrent is huge. I could pick up some 603.s2 on ebay for around £250, or I could go to my local store and pick up some 603.s3 for £600. I couldn't justify spending more than £500 unless they are amazing speakers. Any help would be appriciated.

Dude,
there definitely is a difference but not specatacular. for a spectacular difference you would need to move up to the 700 or the 800 series.

If you do have a budget constraint and you are pretty fixed on the BW sound then 250 sounds like a pretty good price to me!

You can always upgrade later on once the funds are available!

BTW i heard the BW309's are really good..do try to check up on that price as well and they could be to your liking

603 has better bass extension....mids are smoother...high are crisper...thats what some of the reviews say but I found the bass to be deeper and tighter only.
