So the Calcutta boys find themselves mentioned in Stereophile. But that's where it ends. "Mentioned", not "featured".

I have heard one of the Sonodyne's active monitors (an entry level model) and it was surprisingly good.

Good idea for home use as well, I would say.

I heard them in bombay a while back, not bad at all.

I remember SEVERAL years ago, the Sonodyne Team was at an 'Open House' at La Cozy ( Marine Drive). It was a Sunday.

I had talked to a designer from the company, who spoke about their amp... I asked him if it was a pro Audio Product or an Audiophile Product...

He replied back ... "What's the difference ? "

In a way I liked what the Sonodyne guy said. If they feel their studio products are high fidelity and can serve both home and studios there is nothing wrong in it. In fact companies like Sonodyne will most likely come out with better products if they target studios. There is a standard that they have to maintain in order to make a room there.
