I had some problems with some of my music (as i've described here:

http://www.hifi-foru...um_id=59&thread=1005), so to solve it I need to filter all frequencies in the subsonic range. But instead of editing every single song in Cool Edit, maybe you could point me to some good software equalizer which i could set to filter for example everything under 30Hz that comes out of my soundcard and put it to work in background all the time... The one I have in Winamp (v2.91) only has 60, 170, 310Hz etc. bands, that's not low enough...

Also, I noticed there's a "Phono Subsonic" input on my amp... I have the soundcard connected to the "Aux" input, maybe if I connect it to Phono Subsonic, would the amp filter all the low freqs then?

The phono subsonic input is RIAA equalized and should be only used with manetic phono cartrigdes. Also the sensitivity is quite hih (2.5 mv) For 30 Hz filtering you could use Windows Media player equalizer and pull the 32 Hz slider all the way down which should be minus 12 db.

I found a pretty good Winamp2 filter plugin here:

I've set it to -30dB gain from 0 to 30Hz and it seems to have solved my problems!

Ah but the problem has been solved only in winamp... When my pc plays sounds from some other program, the problem can re-appear. Maybe if you could point me to some equalizer which has effect on the entire sound card output? Or some subsonic filter software for windows?

But, at least the music works well now...
