Request Gyan On DACs

I would like to soak in the Practical 'Gyan' on DACs, from Forum members.

Opinions welcome on :

1. Sound quality and subjective opinions on Specific DACs ( Available in the Indian or International market )

2. Which DAC you like and which you dont ( on the basis of absolute sound quality or Value for money )

3. Any outstanding ( Must hear / Must Buy ) DACs ?

4. Any CD players which provide BETTER sound than a CD transport + DAC combination at that price ?

5. Any reasonable ( say US $ 3500 to US $ 4K ? ) priced CD player which provides for an external digital input ?

6. Equally important - DACs that you HATE for their sound quality, lack or reliability, or crappy Value for money...
