Amazing deal! I got mine for a much higher price. It's one of the very few AVRs that works wonderfully on stereo too.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the prompt replies.U guys r simply great.By the way abhi, this offer is on ebayindia. The warranty is by way of exchange only. The item is listed as new.The same item is listed for Rs 23500/- on ebay itself by a different person. It left me a little confused.I mailed the Rs12000 person about the price. He colly replied that he is not aware for how much the marantz is listed ny others, and this is his price. He also assured me the item is brand new.Can anyone tell me how he can give it for this price?
Thanks,
Sri

hey....

the item cannot be new at this price.....its impossible.....evn if he has got it from abroad(which will be a lie ) it is not this cheap there too......

something fishy.....he is gonna dispatch the piece only once he receives the money....so there is the big catch......

You know what Shri? Avoid this.

As good as this sounds, it's best avoided. Even I have Marantz SR4400.

Wouldn't sell at this price even though it's been used. It's like the proverbial apple from the Adam & Eve story. Avoid the temptation - as sweet and juicy as it may seem.

Hi all

The Marantz SR4400 is available for £169.00 in the UK.
which makes it approx 13900 in the UK.
I plan to get it with me to India - how does that compare with prevalent prices there
if you want to take a look at other similar offers check out www.richersounds.com
ciao

Hi all,
Can anyone give me some feedback
I need to choose between Marantz SR4400 and Yamaha RXV357
The Yamaha is 100 W per channel but is 5.1 it has direct switching for Stereo
The Marantz is 85 W per channel and has 6.1
The Yam has a tuner which I don't think the Marantz has - I think a Tuner is useful.
Your inputs please - thanks a ton in advance

If you're more into music, I'd say Marantz.
If you're more into movies, then Yamaha.
Both have S-direct (or tone defeat) for better stereo production.
Both have a tuner.
The watts don't make much of a difference.

I personally prefer the Marantz though.

hi guys-

the UK and US deals do seem tempting-
but please consider the 110 v factor-
even i was planning to get it from the states,
but finally chucked it for the same reason.
dubai - singapore - malaysia - are better
places , i infact got a sr 5500 from singapore for about 17k.

so please look there-
also some one got in the forum got a 5500 from taiwan , but again guess thats 110v.

can also the grey market here - saw a denon 1906 (7.1) for 23.5k- not a bad price- marantz 4500 is about 21-22k

Hi all,
I have gone and bought the Yamaha RXV357
was getting a good deal on the surround speakers too N110

They r justtemporary till I get hold of more serious onesbut they don't sound bad. Though stereo is not in the same class. For stereo I currently have a pair of book shelves from an old Sony system.

I will be looking for Missions M71 types for the stereo and the wife has made up her mind on Bose for the surround - no scope for change there :-S

Cheers all

and yes the Voltage in the UK is the same as in India 220V I have a number of gadgets from here which I have used successfully in India for a while.

Ciao
