Fit & Finish looks top notch;

If this picture is indeed of a rack that Mr. Murthy makes, bravo.
Just a small suggestion, the glass shelves should be at least 12mm thick [load bearing].....

What is the suggested retail price on them ?

Is that not a lot ????
1000 US $'s
The Solid Tec Rack is cheaper - I think.
There was one for sale on this very forum.

BTW - I have a rack of nine for sale.
It weighs 160 ++ kgs.
Pure Solid MS Bars - 3" X 2" in size.
1" thick glass shelves.
Can give details if any one is interested.

MRP is 49,500/-. Will ask what the real selling price is.

Please give me some more details / photos of your rack. I have heard that glass is not good for a shelf and plexi-glass or wood are much better materials for audio applications. Any views on this?

This particular unit is the one Murthy has built for me. He should be shipping it in a day or 2 .

Hope to get it in 2-3 days. No worries on the Glass shelves. They are thick enough to take my 39kg Power amp , Power Conditioner etc.

The specs of this particular unit are as per my requirement. Of course I am sure he will build ones based on individual requirements.

"No worries on the Glass shelves. They are thick enough to take my 39kg Power amp , Power Conditioner etc."

Not about the weight. Glass is generally not supposed to be good from an acoustical point of view in the sense that it resonates more than Plexi-Glass and real hardwood.

MSB1 Phaji,
I also read a lot on the various other forums that glass shelving was bad for audio as it rang when it was suspended or not damped as in the case of a shelf. Then I had the need to create a sub-shelf for my CDP. I used roller-balls pretty much similar to the Symposium shelves. For the shelf material I initially rejected glass 'cuz of all the hype I read against it. I tried granite - made the sound thin & brittle i.e. moved the sound spectrum up. I tried wood - made the bass too wooly & fat i.e. moved the sound spectrum down. I finally gave in & tried glass - wow! It was neutral! It did not ring & it sounded just right to my ears. So, I finalized on glass as the sub-shelf material.
One key is that one should not put any audio equipment directly onto the shelf. More often than not, even expensive racks, do not have adequate isolation of the shelves from the rack frame &/or floor. Secondly, the original feet of the audio equipment are piss-poor quality in terms of isolation. They are pretty much like default black power cords that come w/ every amp & preamp. And, we know what we all do w/ those power cords!!! So, when you place gear on a shelf use pointy brass cones as the feet. Then the audio gear touches the shelf at only 3 (or 4) points. Brass is excellent for draining away the vibrations from the audio equipment. The resultant sonics are far superior.

I agree. But all my components will be isolated from the the Glass. That being said, my experience has been that whenever I have used Glass Shelves, it kinda brightened the sound. If this happens to an unacceptable level then I will be looking at replacing the Glass with other material.

As of now there will be an isolation between the Glass shelves and the Rack body too.

Hey, and after all it is an Audiophile grade glass, you know what it takes to make a sheet of this type of glass. Shh..sss Shss , don’t tell it to anybody

It is made from single grown ultra pure zirconium crystal which is blended with gold and silver alloy, toughened with Titanium and polished using special diamond dust (0.001 micron) . After that no less than 143 coats of organic lacquer (extracted from rare Zambhona wood , smuggled from deep forests in Burma) are applied to the surface.

This glass then acoustically treated via a secrete process developed by NASA for their forthcoming Man on Jupiter mission code named MOJ-01(A highly classified project, I believe they use controlled Nuclear radition sort of thing! Even US president doesn't know about it!)

At the end, the glass is shipped to North Pole to further toughen it using natural process of Artic wind blowing over its surface, it takes some 3 months to complete the process.

So at this cost it not a deal, then is it a steal? No wrong again it is a corporate charity!

(Just kidding, don't get offended)

I have had the opposite experience with glass and find that natural materials like wood tend to be better. Harder the wood, the better. All this however is a matter of personal preference. YMMV.
