Marantz-help wanted!

Since I can't speak German I risk using English and hope I will be forgiven...

I have a Marantz Model 1520 ML receiver with a small, yet important, defect in the Power supply. Because some of the Components don't have readable names or descriptions I'm in desparate need of som schematic diagrams for this receiver.

I have found schematics for Model 1520/MR 220 but it does not match my unit neither outside nor inside. The Marantz Model 1520 ML uses an STK-type hybrid output circuit that makes the schematic diagrams easy to tell apart since the Model 1520/MR 220 uses discrete components in the output stage.

Hope someone here can help me out!

I don´t know this model.
Try to find a schematic diagram,
(American and canadian pages !)
send me a copy and I try to help you.

Hi, Michael.

I live in the eastern part of Norway and I studied AV-repair ages ago. I gradueted around the same time this Marants 1520ML was for sale.

My first problem is finding the correct schematic diagram, the next problem is "can I read it?"

We'll just have to wait and see.

I have searched every website I know of and contacted dealers, agents and repairshops operating in my country. I have not tried American and Canadian pages yet so --- maybe I'll strike gold over there?

since it is difficult to find a SM, try to post a photo of the power supply section. Maybe we can help you to identify the unknown parts.

Hi John Tony,

Harald is right.
Make a power-supply-photo and send it.

On my opinion Your Marantz was produced
by another company and only labeld with
"Marantz".
May be, that some forum-users will recognize,
using the photo, Your power-supply and can
help with an schematic diagram.
