Dual C844 deck. assistance of the club required

Dear collegues, please advise anything/
The problem:
DUAl C844 cassette deck (purchased at ebay.de)

The deck arrived with weared belts. I placed new beltas and deck can normally fast forward and rewind tape.
But when in play mode - the left capstan moves the tape slightly better than the right one. So the tape begins to accumulate between the left capstan and rec/play heads.
Looling at the capstans I do not see any sihgts of wear, also both capstans are rotating from the same motor so rotation speed is to be the same on both capstans.
But reality does not confirm this.
When braking the left cassette - the tape moves normally, with the same speed via both capstans.
So please advice what to check?
Should the left cassette to brake in play mode?
Anuthing else?

You may check if the capstans, the winders and the pressure rolls need cleaning. Use a Q-tip soaked with some isopropyl alcohol for this.

Hello Aleksander,

I had the same problem with a C-844, after building in of both capstan-belts it ran perfectly. The problem was, the right capstan: if ther is a only a little slip - it will make problems - especially in high-speed-mode.
